Introduction
When Niti Vijh, founder of The Zazen Space, received a set of interview questions about the mechanics of her practice, she proposed something different. Rather than explaining how modalities work, she wanted to answer the questions seekers actually ask before beginning inner work: "I am going through a deep crisis / depression / divorce / collapse, can you help me? What difference will I feel? How will I feel after the sessions?"
That instinct shaped this conversation. With over 30 years of practice, more than 100,000 consultations worldwide, and a Master's degree in Psychology, Vijh speaks from a position of both psychological understanding and intuitive depth. Her practice operates entirely online, serving clients across the US, Europe, Southeast Asia, India, and beyond through The Zazen Space.
Question 1
Your brand carries one of the most counter-intuitive and intriguing philosophies in the wellness space. And it starts with just two words:
'Lose Everything.'
Why does the journey begin with total loss, and what does it have to do with what you call Spiritual Alchemy?
Answer.
A lady came for the Be Reborn Alchemical Program with a lifetime of excruciating migraines. She joined like a blank slate, with no idea what to expect, but very trusting and courageous enough to take this leap of faith. In fact, she asked me no questions, simply said 'I want to join your program' and signed up without any discussion whatsoever.
By around the 40th session, her migraines were gone forever. But that's only one of the many things she lost through the program.
Another lady came to me. She suffered from extremely low self-confidence. Her life had been a lifetime of loneliness and neglect. She had been stuck for years in an obsessive compulsion towards a person of interest who did not reciprocate. She had always been so obsessive about her partners that they suffocated and eventually drifted away from her. This was a recurring pattern in her love life.
She went through the program, and showed great courage in completing all her sessions, because it was a very tough journey for her. During the course of the 100 sessions, she completely lost her old sense of identity. Her neediness and clinginess dissolved. She lost a few toxic relationships.
As she grew in self-confidence, she lost her mental loops and her obsessive patterns. Eventually, after a lot of work, she also lost her obsession for this person of interest. She gradually lost her pattern to be continuously drawn to unfulfilling partners, and this in turn completely changed her love life.
Every day, people come to me carrying invisible luggage.
Heartbreaks. Humiliations. Old traumas. Physical symptoms.
Broken dreams. Fears. Regrets. Expectations. Guilt.
The list is endless… and the weight is heavy.
The strange thing is, almost nobody realizes they're carrying it. We cling to it because it's familiar, and the familiar feels safe.
Yet all that stands between us and our happiness is this dead weight. To advance upward, we have to let it go. And letting go takes courage.
When we start to lose, we start to float.
Zazen Space is a safe space to lose everything.
So the most important question we need to ask ourselves is:
"What do I need to lose? What baggage am I carrying that's holding me down, and keeping my life stuck? And what can my life look like if I release these?"
This is exactly what we address in our 'Be Reborn' spiritual alchemy programs. We help you identify your baggage and gradually let it go. As you lose it layer by layer, you keep elevating, and you keep discovering yourself.
And hence the complete philosophy of the brand is…
"Lose Everything.
Find Yourself."
The reason we place these words at the entrance to Zazen Space is simple. This is not a journey for the faint of heart.
You come when you are ready.
Question 2
Most of us spend our lives trying to build more, to create security, success and a better future. Society teaches us to keep gaining, accumulating and manifesting. Doesn't "Lose Everything" contradict everything we've been taught?
Answer.
I understand the fear behind this question, and it's a fear almost everyone comes to the Be Reborn Programs with.
We live in a world that is becoming increasingly obsessed with 'manifestation'. This term was unheard of hundreds of years ago.
Our ancestors focused on their dharmic duty, and not on manifestation techniques. The Bhagavad Gita explicitly states, "Do your duty, your karma, and leave the result to God."
Manifestation focuses exclusively on results. With our constant, almost obsessive focus on manifestation, are we becoming more, or less dharmic?
And as the exclusive focus of manifestation is the outcome, we naturally feel this enormous fear of letting go of our thoughts. Because we believe clinging to them is what creates our desired future home, car, job, luxuries, etc.
Let duty-led actions be your focus, not the destination.
Your future remains safe even as you release the fears, and the thoughts you believe are manifesting it.
Now, the moment I say "Lose Everything," your material mind panics. It hears only one thing: "Less." Fewer things, less security, less of what you've built.
But we are not talking about material losses.
We are talking about losing layers of your 'self'.
They were never really 'you' to begin with.
I know that sounds contradictory if you've spent your whole life being told to accumulate, to hold on, to manifest more. That conditioning runs deep.
But at Zazen Space, we've seen this again and again: your external world simply mirrors your internal state.
When you're willing to lose everything within, you transform; and your world, being a reflection of your energy, has no option but to transform with you.
Your life doesn't shrink. It improves.
Which brings us to the heart of our philosophy:
Change.
And Your World Changes With You.
Question 3
You hold a Master's degree in Psychology. Yet your work also draws deeply from the occult sciences, mysticism, energy healing and spirituality. Why and how do you bring these diverse streams together to guide a seeker's transformation?
Answer.
They seem different, but they are not.
Each stream explores a different level, but they move in the same direction.
And the direction common to all is self-discovery.
Psychology helps us understand ourselves.
It explores the subconscious and unconscious layers, helping us understand the parts of ourselves we do not yet fully know. Because we don't consciously recognize these hidden areas, we cannot sort them out alone. We need the guidance of someone who understands us at the subconscious level, not just the conscious surface.
The occult sciences help us perceive patterns beyond ordinary awareness.
These operate using deeper layers like the individual and the collective unconscious, that part of the mind which is common to all human beings. This is a step deeper than psychology.
And spirituality, the deepest of the three, is the name given to the process of dissolving both the conscious and the unconscious minds, until we reach a place which is free of them.
So psychology, the occult, and spirituality are not separate paths. They are successive milestones on the way back to ourselves.
Whether someone comes because life has become too heavy, because they are carrying too much, or because they are simply ready for deeper self-discovery, the answer is the same: Spiritual Alchemy.
And it combines all three.
But most importantly.
This work is not about the modalities.
This work is about YOU.
You are the common thread here.
Psychology, occult and spirituality are all working for your alchemy!
Question 4
Why did you choose to build Zazen Space entirely online instead of through a traditional physical practice?
Answer.
Zazen Space was built online by design, not by accident. Suffering has no geography. Neither should healing. A borderless platform allows anyone, anywhere in the world, to access transformative inner work without geographical limitations.
Question 5
Is this the only reason, or are there other reasons for choosing to work online?
Answer.
In fact, many!
People feel safest and open up most easily in the comfort and safety of their own rooms, their own homes, rather than on a couch in an office.
Many approached me saying they don't find a program close to their home. Such programs are few and far between. Online removes that barrier completely. It also means no one has to settle for whatever is locally available. They can work with the person they truly resonate with, wherever that person is.
And there is a quieter advantage: clients arrive without the exhaustion of travel. They can remain fully present instead of fighting fatigue.
Online is not a compromise. It is simply the clearest way to meet people exactly where they are.
Question 6
With a legacy of over 100,000 global consultations, you have an incredible bird's-eye view of human suffering. You use the term 'Spiritual Alchemy' frequently. What does it mean to you, and why do you believe this is the journey humanity needs today?
Answer.
People are feeling the need for something which they cannot name or describe. They are aware of a deep search within, but they don't know what they are searching for.
This search is for a sense of wholeness and completion, fulfilment and peace, happiness and joy. And these come only when all that's poisonous has been removed.
Removing all that's toxic from you and your life is Spiritual Alchemy.
Spiritual Alchemy emerged in response to people's needs.
And now is the perfect time for it because we, as humanity, are going through a phase of extreme global unrest. We see extremism and polarization.
This is a time when humanity is being sieved.
And this is not something to be fearful of.
All we need is to choose our path: spiritual or material, righteous or unethical.
But how will we choose?
Our minds are filled with so much noise that we can no longer hear the voice of our own conscience. We struggle to distinguish right from wrong.
'Spiritual Alchemy' removes this noise so you can hear your own inner voice clearly.
Question 7
Why did you start Zazen Space? And what would you like to say to someone hesitating at the doorway?
Answer.
Why did I start Zazen Space?
Because it was a guidance from my guru. A directive. And so were the Be Reborn Alchemical Programs.
As for someone hesitating on that doorway…
Look, so many people are tired of life, fed up with their own mental burdens, pains, and so much more.
And the Be Reborn Programs…
They are not for all.
They are for a select few.
Ask yourself, are you tired? Heavy? Looking for change?
If your answer to this is 'Yes', then introspect further.
Are you ready to lose everything to feel light again, to feel hope again, to feel love again, to feel happy again?
If your answer to both questions is 'Yes', then you are ripe. You recognise the need for transformation, and you are willing to pay its price: the willingness to lose everything.
Then I would say to you, 'You are ready to begin your alchemical spiritual journey. To transform yourself, and hence your life.'
And we, at Zazen Space, welcome you.
And I would also reassure you, "Don't be scared to lose, because anything that's true will stand the test of time and meet you on the other side of your transformation."
But are you willing to let it stand the test of fire?
Question 8
You have made it clear that your signature 'Be Reborn' Programs are exclusive and require a willingness to step into the fire. For seekers who might not be ready for that level of identity shift, what other pathways do you offer to help them begin unburdening their systems?
Answer.
Many!
We have a complete range, for every person, based on where they are on their unique journey.
For those anxious about life direction, and looking for predictive insights and guidance, we offer help through tarot and astrology under The Oracle.
For people undergoing physical, emotional, or mental pain or ill health, we offer healing modalities like reiki, chakra work.
For those who feel ready for a deeper shift, wanting to get a taste of it before taking the full plunge, we offer The Inner Alchemy, short, focused experiences that carry the essence of the Be Reborn Programs, allowing people to experience Spiritual Alchemy before committing to the full journey.
For those drawn to learning the mystical sciences, we offer specialized courses inside The Occult School.
Wherever you are on your journey, and whatever level of readiness you bring, there is a doorway that matches you.
Question 9
You call your brand The Zazen Space. It is a deeply unique and distinctive name. Can you explain the meaning behind it?
Answer.
"Zazen" fundamentally means the practice of zen meditation, the profound doing of non-doing.
"Space" is the container where that practice happens, and the inner expanse that opens up inside you when you finally drop your dead weight.
Ultimately, both the space we are creating within you and the space we are expanding into is what we call the Shiva Space, the all-encompassing, infinite consciousness.
Each one of us is an isolated, small pocket within that vastness, completely blocked off from merging with it by only one thing: the clutter of our own minds.
Through our offerings, bit by bit, we rid your mind of its burdens, helping you expand toward that wholeness. You do not become it in one go, but the more you lose, the more space you find to simply align with that vast cosmic bliss.
And perhaps that is the only invitation I wish to leave every reader with.
Step in gracefully, before life pushes you in forcefully. Because the circumstances leading to our alchemy are often painful.
