If you have a young puppy or an older pet with special requirements, WyPaw's emphasis on specialized care could be a great fit.
How to Choose the Right Pet Sitter
Start by listing your pet's specific needs. Does your dog need long walks, or does your cat need medication? Next, consider your budget and how often you'll need the service. Then, look for sitters who offer a meet-and-greet so you can see how they interact with your pet. Check reviews and ask about backup plans in case of emergencies. Finally, trust your gut. If a sitter makes you feel at ease, that's a good sign. The right fit is someone who treats your pet like their own.
Streamlining Your Pet Care Routine
You can simplify scheduling by using a shared calendar or a pet care app. Set reminders for feeding, walks, and medication times. If you use a platform like Rover or WyPaw, you can book and pay through the app, keeping everything in one place. For local sitters like Desert Paws, a quick text or email to confirm dates works well. Consider creating a pet care binder with emergency contacts, vet info, and feeding instructions. A little organization goes a long way in reducing stress for you and your pet.
